All A's games will be carried on KYCY 1550 AM and on the A's Radio Network, with Ken Korach, Vince Cotroneo and Ray Fosse calling the action. The A's "Extra Innings" post game show is hosted by Robert Buan.

OAKLAND -- The Oakland Athletics return home to McAfee Coliseum for a six-game homestand against the Seattle Mariners (May 16-18) and San Francisco Giants (May 19-21).

The pitching match-ups for the Seattle series are Joe Blanton (3-4, 6.38) vs. Felix Hernandez (2-4, 4.58) tonight, Barry Zito (2-3, 3.75) facing Jamie Moyer (1-3, 3.29) tomorrow night and Kirk Saarloos (1-1, 5.63) squaring off against Joel Pineiro (4-3, 4.59) on Thursday afternoon.

The A's went 2-4 on the recent road trip through Toronto (1-2) and New York (1-2). The A's enter tonight's game with an 18-19 record and are in second place in the American League West standings, 2.0 games behind the Texas Rangers.

Single-game tickets for all A's home games can be purchased at all usual ticket outlets, including the McAfee Coliseum Box Office, on-line at oaklandathletics.com and Tickets.com outlets or over the phone by calling (877) 493-BALL. Individual game tickets for the 2006 season are priced at $40 (plaza club), $38 (MVP), $30 (field level), $30 (Plaza Infield), $20 (Plaza Level), $14 (Plaza Outfield) and $10 (Bleachers and Plaza Reserved).

Promotions and Special Events
Frank Thomas Jersey: On Tuesday, May 16, 5,000 A's fans will receive a Frank Thomas jersey, courtesy of Pinnacle Document Systems.

Jose Cuervo Taquito Tuesday: Fans can purchase two taquitos for $1 during every Tuesday home game until the middle of the seventh inning in the West Side Club as a part of Jose Cuervo Taquito Tuesday.

General Motors Drive It Outta The Park Vehicle Giveaway: The Oakland Athletics and General Motors have teamed up to give A's fans the opportunity to win a new car at every Friday night home game this season and the chance to win $500 worth of Chevron with Techron® gasoline. On May 5 vs. Tampa Bay, one lucky fan will win a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe.

Macy's/Oakland A's 5K Fun Run Autograph Session: The Macy's/Oakland A's 5K Fun Run is scheduled for Sunday, June 18 at 8:30 am prior to the A's 1:05 pm game against the Dodgers. The race will begin and end in the McAfee Coliseum Creekside parking lot (north end of D Lot). For a $35 registration fee (before June 9), runners will receive a Plaza Reserved ticket for the game, an event t-shirt and entry to the post-race tailgate party. A limited number of fans that register for the race on the concourse behind section 120 on Saturday, May 20 between 11:05-11:40 am will receive an autograph from A's player. The event benefits The Family Violence Prevention Fund.

A's Player Appearance: A's shortstop Bobby Crosby will sign autographs and take photos with fans at Ricky's Sports Theatre and Grill in San Leandro (15028 Hesperian Blvd.) following the game on Saturday, May 20.

Ameriquest All-Star Balloting: Voting is under way (through June 29) for fans to determine the starters for the 77th All-Star Game, to be played Tuesday, July 11 at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, through Major League Baseball's All-Star Balloting Program. The 2006 American and National League All-Star Teams will be unveiled on the Major League Baseball All-Star Game Selection Show on Sunday, July 2 on ESPN. Verizon Wireless TXT2WIN A's Trivia Contest: Fans have the opportunity to use their mobile phones to answer a baseball trivia question presented on the scoreboard screen during A's home games. Fans have the opportunity to use their mobile phones during this homestand to TXT2Win two tickets to the Black Eyed Peas concert at the Oakland Arena on Friday, May 12 courtesy, of Verizon Wireless. All A's fans can text in and play, regardless of their wireless carrier.

Verizon Wireless TXT2WIN A's Trivia Contest: Fans have the opportunity to use their mobile phones to answer a baseball trivia question presented on the scoreboard screen during A's home games. All A's fans can text in and play, regardless of their wireless carrier. A randomly selected fan that answers the trivia question will receive a LG Phone courtesy of Verizon Wireless.

Baseball: 101 Clinic: John Muir Health and the Oakland A's present a baseball clinic on Tuesday, May 30 at McAfee Coliseum. Oakland A's coaches and front office staff will discuss and demonstrate the basics of Major League Baseball through a classroom setting and an on-field clinic. The participants will also take part in an autograph and photo session with an A's player, watch batting practice and learn how to officially score a game. Each participant in Baseball: 101 will receive a BBQ Terrace ticket to the A's vs. Royals game, food and beverage and an A's player t-shirt. In addition, one of the participants will win the opportunity to throw out that night's ceremonial first pitch. Fans can enroll by calling (510) 638-4900 ext. 4040.

Community Relations
Green Stampede Homework Club: Before selected A's home games, teachers and volunteers from Oakland public schools offer tutoring for at-risk students at McAfee Coliseum. Students who attend the study group are rewarded with tickets to that night's game. If a student shows up to all eight of the study groups they will be rewarded with a visit from an A's player or coach for a question and answer session and autographs. The first session will meet between April 14 and June 2.

A's Baseball Basics: An A's player will host a pre-game clinic for a selected Bay Area youth team prior to the game on Saturday, May 6. This program allows aspiring young ball players to receive inside tips from an A's player during a pre-game clinic. In addition, each child receives a game ticket and an A's hat. A's Baseball Basics is sponsored by Health Net, A Better Decision.

Rising Star: The Oakland A's Community Fund and ANG Newspapers will choose five student athletes throughout the season that excel on the field, in the classroom and in the community. The student will receive four tickets to an A's game, an A's autographed baseball, an award and a newspaper feature. Two student athletes will be honored prior to the game on Wednesday, May 17 against the Mariners. The first recipient will be Andrew Rogers a senior at Healdsburg High School who has compiled a 3.36 grade GPA. Rogers is a California State High School wrestling champion and varsity football player in addition to serving as associated student body president and volunteering with the 4-H Club. Also honored will be senior Ella-Pauline Franklin of Skyline High School. Franklin maintained a 3.56 GPA while playing on the varsity basketball, track, and cross country teams.

Senior Days: The A's will provide tickets to various senior programs for the Thursday afternoon game on May 18 against the Seattle Mariners.

A's Community Fund Silent Auction: The A's will host silent auctions of various sports memorabilia behind section 120 on all Saturday and Sunday home dates. Proceeds benefit the A's Community Fund and other local charities. Designated charity groups will receive a portion of the proceeds from the auction. The Silent Auction partner for the game on May 19 is the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, the partner on May 20 is the Multiple Sclerosis Society and on May 21 the A's will donate a portion of the funds to the Northern California Cancer Center.

Take the Field with the A's: Prior to the game on Sunday, May 7, selected Little Leaguers (Livermore American Little League AA Reds) will accompany A's players as they take the field, courtesy of Alta Bates Medical Center. The children stand with the players during the National Anthem and receive an autographed ball from A's players.

A's Kids Club: During every Sunday home game this season, the A's and Children's Hospital and Research Center Oakland will give select members of the A's Kids Club the opportunity to be a guest public address announcer in the third inning. Children can join the A's Kids Club online at oaklandathletics.com. There is a membership fee of $18 and each child will receive an A's Kids Club packet that includes a membership card, limited edition mini bobbleheads of A's shortstop Bobby Crosby and the A's mascot Stomper as well as a booklet of various coupons and discounts. The A's Kids Club is sponsored by Blockbuster, the Contra Costa Times, the Oakland Zoo and Round Table Pizza.

Race Around the Bases: Following every Sunday afternoon game, children 14 and under will have a chance to race around the bases, courtesy of Oh Boy! Oberto Beef Jerky. Samples of Oh Boy! Oberto Beef Jerky will be distributed to children who participate.

A's Player Ticket Purchase Program: Through the A's player ticket purchase program, Mark Kotsay purchased tickets to select games this season, the A's Community Fund matched that amount and the tickets were donated to a charity of their choice. Kotsay donated 134 tickets to the Mariners games on May 16 and 17 to the Big Brothers Big Sisters of the East Bay, Boys & Girls Clubs of Oakland and the YMCA Mt. Diablo Region.

Bill King "Holy Toledo" Patches and Pins: In honor of the legendary broadcaster Bill King, who passed away last year serving as the play-by-play voice of the A's for 25 seasons, a specially designed "Holy Toledo" patch will be worn by A's players and coaches on the sleeve of the home white uniforms during the course of the 2006 season. These patches will be available to fans for a $20 donation to the Oakland A's Community Fund and in addition "Holy Toledo" pins will be available for a $10 donation. Proceeds will benefit the Bill King Scholarship Fund, which awards a scholarship annually to a Bay Area college student majoring in broadcasting. The patches and pins will be available at the Silent Auction table located behind section 120 during Saturday and Sunday home games from the time the gates open until the bottom of the fifth inning. In addition, fans can purchase patches or pins by e-mailing community@oaklandathletics.com or calling (510) 563-2329.

Ticket Offers
The Oakland Tribune Family Pack Games: On seven select dates during the season, fans may purchase four Plaza Outfield tickets and four meals (hot dog, chips, small soda) for just $40. The Oakland Tribune Family Pack games for the 2006 season is: May 16 vs. Seattle, May 30 vs. Kansas City, June 13 vs. Seattle, July 4 vs. Detroit, July 27 vs. Toronto, Aug. 13 vs. Tampa Bay and Sept. 6 vs. Texas.

BART Double Play Wednesdays: Fans may purchase Plaza Outfield and Plaza Reserved tickets for $2 and hot dogs for just $1 on any Wednesday home game during the season (excluding 7/26 and 8/30).

Cache Creek Saturday: The first 5,000 adult fans will receive an instant scratcher card sponsored by Cache Creek Casino Resort. Prizes will include merchandise, discounts on merchandise, tickets, discounts on tickets, autograph baseballs and more.

Big Game Pack: Fans may purchase a Season ticket package that features 22 of the biggest A's games of the 2006 season. This Big Game Pack includes the series against the Giants (5/19-21), Dodgers (6/16-18) and both Red Sox (7/24-26; 8/28-30), all four of the firework games (5/29, 7/3, 9/1, 9/22), two games against the White Sox (9/15-17) and four games against the Angels (7/7-8; 9/23-24). Field Level tickets for the Big Game Pack are priced at $572 per seat and are available by calling (510) 638-GoA's (4627) or on-line at oaklandathletics.com.

Half Price Tickets: Children 14-under, fans 60-over and active members of the military may purchase Plaza Outfield seats at half price during the season.
