In addition to Father's Day, Sunday was also Coco Crisp Chia Pet Day at the Oakland Coliseum. The A's gave out clay statues of Crisp's head with chia sprouts inside. Within a few days, the growing herb will replicate the outfielder's trademark Afro hairdo.
Coco's teammate Josh Reddick didn't wait and water before getting in on the festivities, donning a Crisp jersey and fake 'fro before stepping into the cage for BP.
