Root, Root, Root for the Brewers Plant-A-Tree Program
In 2013, the Brewers will again team up with the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (WDNR) to plant their commitment to the "Root, Root, Root For The Brewers Plant-A-Tree" program. Through the program, the Brewers will purchase one tree for every 20,000 tickets sold, offsetting the number of trees used to print the Club's 2013 regular season tickets. In 2012, after drawing 2,831,385 fans, the Brewers planted 142 trees along the Hank Aaron State Trail (between 60th and 68th Street).
- Why one tree for every 20,000 tickets?
- 500,000 tickets = 1 ton of paper
- 1 ton of paper = 24 trees
- 1 tree = (approximately) 20,000 tickets
