The AFL Hall of Fame recognizes former Fall Leaguers who have gone on to the Major Leagues and made a significant impact on the field at the Major League level. The AFL recognizes those who have been exemplary on the field and spent a portion of their illustrious career participating in our league and who have shown that the Fall League continues to be a launching pad for the best and brightest Major League talent. We'd love for you to come and join us in welcoming David Wright as the newest inductee on November 15th at Scottsdale Stadium at 6:10 p.m. EST.

The Virginia native was a 1st round draft pick out of high school in the 2001 MLB draft. After his Arizona Fall League campaign with the Peoria Saguaros in 2003, Wright made his MLB debut with the New York Mets in 2004. A seven-time all-star, has collected two Gold Gloves and two Silver Sluggers. His career statistics include a .296 batting average with 242 homers and 970 RBI in 1,583 games over 13 seasons. He owns five 100-RBI campaigns and he has hit over .300 seven times. The Mets' career leader in most offensive categories, Wright was named the fourth team captain in franchise history in 2013 and has played more games at third base than any player in New York (Mets and Yankees) baseball annals.

The 26th Arizona Fall League Championship game will take place on November 18, 2017 at 1:08 p.m. at Scottsdale Stadium. The game will feature the East Valley Champion vs. the West Valley Champion.

It is safe to say there are no dynasties within the fall league, so you never know who will come out on top! Max Scherzer

A two-time Cy Young Award winner, Scherzer is one of only six pitchers to achieve the honor in both leagues. The five-time all-star and Hall of Famer Randy Johnson are the only pitchers in MLB history to boast no-hitters and 20-strikeout games. Scherzer has tossed two no-hitters. He is the only pitcher in MLB with an active streak of six-plus seasons with at least 200 strikeouts. The third-fastest pitcher in MLB history to reach the 2,000-strikeout plateau, Scherzer reached the milestone in 1,784 innings.
