Sox lose tight one
Jose Contreras was solid again for the White Sox, giving up three runs in 8 1/3 innings, but Chicago couldn't put much together against Paul Byrd. Joe Crede's solo home run and an A.J. Pierzynski single accounted for the only White Sox runs.
