MIAMI - The Miami Marlins are set to host the Chicago Cubs (April 25-28) and the New York Mets (April 29- May 1) at Marlins Park. The seven-game homestand will feature several great promotions and special events.

On Thursday, April 25 at 7:10 the Marlins will kick off the homestand as they face off against the Cubs. UNIVERSITY OF MIAMI CHECK PRESENTATIONS: The Marlins Foundation will donate $7,500 to the University of Miami School of Education in support of their Scholarship Program. David Samson, President of the Marlins and Chairman of the Marlins Foundation will present the check to the University of Miami School of Education that will be reward as a scholarship to a student in the University of Miami Sports Administration Program. The Marlins have donated $52,500 to this scholarship over the last eight seasons.

In addition, the Marlins will honor the memory of Suzanne Rayson, who served as the Marlins Director of Broadcasting from 2002 - 2008. President of the Marlins, David Samson, and Sr. Vice President of Communications and Broadcasting, PJ Loyello, will present a check for $5,000 to the University of Miami School of Communication for the Suzanne Rayson Scholarship. This annual scholarship is awarded to a student with an interest in sports broadcasting in the Broadcast Journalism Program.

Diamond Dash: After every Marlins Family Sunday, kids 12 and under get to run the bases on the field in the Marlins Diamond Dash. The presentation is geared towards 3rd - 8th grade students and follows the Sunshine State Standards. Gates open at 9:30 AM.CBS 4 will begin their presentation at 10:30 AM and conclude at 11:300 AM. Game start time is 12:40 PM.

CELEBRATION CLUB: Marlins fans can display a personalized message on Marlins Vision for the home crowd to see for a donation to the Marlins Foundation. Personalized messages will be shown at the end of the 2nd inning of every Marlins home game.
