The Giants will host Metallica Night at AT&T Park on Friday, May 3, when they face the Los Angeles Dodgers at 7:15 p.m. Metallica, one of the most prominent rock bands of all time, boast a career which exceeds three decades. In addition to the musical achievements of this local band, they are proud Giants fans and active members of the San Francisco Bay Area community. 

Members of Metallica will participate in pre-game festivities which include throwing out the ceremonial first pitch and performing the National Anthem. The custom Giants-themed guitars that will be played by James Hetfield and Kirk Hammett will be signed immediately following the National Anthem and auctioned off at the Giants Community Clubhouse with proceeds being shared by the Giants Community Fund and the Bill Graham Memorial Foundation.

All fans in attendance at AT&T Park will be treated to Metallica entertainment features played on the scoreboard throughout the game. There will also be a limited supply of Metallica/Giants merchandise available in the Giants Dugout Stores at AT&T Park.
