LAD@WSH: Kemp leaves game with injury after slide

TORONTO -- Dodgers outfielder Matt Kemp, who sprained his left ankle Sunday, was not in the starting lineup Monday night vs. the Blue Jays.

Kemp was replaced in center field by Yasiel Puig.

Kemp sprained his ankle sliding into home plate in Sunday's series finale in Washington. Dodgers manager Don Mattingly said at the time that he didn't believe the injury would necessitate a trip to the disabled list for Kemp.

Puig, who took extra batting practice Monday afternoon, also took extra fielding practice in center field.
