    The final six Astros home games of the regular season should prove critical in the highly-contested race for the postseason. The Astros prepare to host the LA Angels of Anaheim for a three-game set beginning tonight and ending on Wednesday. The Astros, who currently hold a 2.5 game lead on the Angels in the AL Wild Card race, also lead the season series vs. the Angels, 9-7. On Friday night, the second-place Astros begin a three-game, weekend series vs. the Texas Rangers, who currently lead the AL West by a mere 1.5 games. These final three home games of the season will also be the final three games between the intra-state rivals, and may decide which team captures the AL Western Division crown. The Astros currently have the best home record in the AL with a 50-25 (.667) mark.

    The Astros Triple A affiliate Fresno Grizzlies defeated the Round Rock Express today, 7-3, to capture the Pacific Coast league championship. Fresno's decisive win came at home in Game 5 of the best-of-five series.
