  • Padres announce new broadcasting lineup for 2016

    The San Diego Padres today announced a new broadcasting lineup for the 2016 season. Ford C. Frick Award winner Dick Enberg will return to the FOX Sports San Diego booth in 2016 as the primary play-by-play voice of the Padres. He will once again be joined by former Major Leaguer Mark Grant, who will mark his 21st season in the role of color analyst for Padres television broadcasts.

    Legendary television broadcaster Dick Enberg today announced his plans to return to the FOX Sports San Diego booth in 2016 for his seventh, and final, season as the primary play-by-play television host of Padres baseball. Enberg said on-air during the Padres telecast this evening that he will retire following the 2016 season.

  • Padres celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month

    The San Diego Padres today announced plans to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month during the final weeks of the 2015 season. As part of the celebration of different Hispanic and Latino countries, Roberto Clemente, Jr., son of the legendary outfielder, will be in San Diego to take part in a number of initiatives associated with Hispanic Heritage Month. The Padres will host an in-game celebration with Fiesta in the Park prior to this Friday's game vs. the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Padres Volunteer Team presented by Toyota will partake in a Tijuana River Valley cleanup on Saturday, October 3.

  • Padres and Bill Walton announce Bill Walton Basketball Festival at Petco Park

    The San Diego Padres and NBA Hall of Famer Bill Walton today announced the Bill Walton Basketball Festival at Petco Park, a week-long festival of basketball activities set to begin Monday, November 30. The Festival will culminate on Saturday, December 5 at 2:00 p.m., with the jewel event, the first college basketball game in Petco Park history. Tickets to see the San Diego State Aztecs vs. the University of San Diego Toreros will go on sale to the general public tomorrow, Wednesday, September 23, at 10:00 a.m. PT.   • Holiday Wonderland returns to Petco Park this December

    It was announced today that Holiday Wonderland will return to Petco Park this December. The holiday celebration will once again light up the ballpark for 12-nights in December, with a larger footprint, featuring even more walk-through lighting vignettes and unique holiday activities for all ages, in every corner of Petco Park.

  • Celebrity instructor Brandon Mills signs on to lead Pedal at the Park

    The San Diego Padres and Pedal the Cause San Diego today announced celebrity instructor Brandon Mills, CSCS, has signed on to lead Pedal at the Park benefitting Pedal the Cause on Saturday, September 12. Mills, as seen on E!'s Hollywood Cycle will design and lead the first-ever on-field cycling event, which will feature a one-hour class on the outfield at Petco Park.   • Padres to host Rangers, Dodgers and Rockies

    The Padres return home from their seven-day six-game road trip for an 11-game homestand, featuring games against the Texas Rangers, Los Angeles Dodgers and Colorado Rockies. Action begins tonight, with a 7:10 p.m. start against the Rangers.

  • Padres acquire C Marcus Greene Jr. from Rangers in exchange for OF Will Venable

    The San Diego Padres today announced that they have acquired minor league catcher Marcus Greene Jr. and a player to be named later from the Texas Rangers in exchange for outfielder Will Venable. Executive Vice President/General Manager A.J. Preller made the announcement.
