KSAC 1240 AM added to A's radio network
Sacramento-based station to broadcast 111 regular season games
tickets for any Major League Baseball game

OAKLAND -- The Oakland Athletics and radio station KSAC 1240 AM, a Sacramento-based station owned by Diamond Broadcasting, have agreed to terms on a one-year contract to broadcast 111 regular season games and any post-season games involving the A's during the 2006 season.

Broadcasts on KSAC 1240 AM will begin 35 minutes prior to first pitch with the A's Pre-Game Show. The station will also carry the team's "Extra Innings" post-game show. KSAC 1240 AM will carry all weekend games and join any game in progress that begins between 4:00 pm and 5:00 pm starting at 6:00 pm.

"The Sacramento market is an important coverage area for us and we are pleased to have reached this agreement with KSAC prior to Opening Night," said Ken Pries, A's Vice President of Broadcasting and Communications.

The A's Radio Network is made up of 21 affiliates stretching from Hawaii, Eureka, South Lake Tahoe and King City. A's games can be heard in the Bay Area on KYCY 1550 AM (San Francisco-Oakland), KNTS 1220 AM (San Jose-Fremont) and KVON 1440 AM (North Bay). KYCY will broadcast all 162 regular and postseason games involving the A's while KNTS will air 127 regular season in addition to all postseason games. KNTS 1220 AM will carry weekend games and join weeknight games in progress beginning at 6:00 pm.

The Athletics radio broadcast team consists of play-by-play announcers Ken Korach and Vince Cotroneo along with Ray Fosse, who will serve as an analyst for non-televised games. Robert Buan also returns for his seventh season hosting the team's "Extra Innings" post-game talk show.

Single-game tickets for all A's home games can be purchased at all usual ticket outlets, including McAfee Coliseum Box Office, on-line at and outlets or over the phone by calling (877) 493-BALL. Individual game tickets for the 2006 season are priced at $40 (plaza club), $38 (MVP), $30 (field level), $30 (Plaza Infield), $20 (Plaza Level), $14 (Plaza Outfield), $10 (Bleachers and Plaza Reserved) and $8 (Standing Room).
