Olson launches two homers, including walk-off shot

First baseman Matt Olson's second home run of the game Thursday gave Class A Advanced Stockton an 8-7 walk-off win in 11 innings against Bakersfield.

Olson, the A's No. 5 prospect, went 5-for-6 with two home runs, a double, three runs and five RBIs. He established new career highs in both hits and RBIs.

Olson's second two-homer game of the season pushed him into first place on the California League home run leaderboard with 17 in 69 games this season. He is hitting .247/.392/.502 with 58 walks and 64 strike outs.

Thanks to Olson's walk-off home run, right-hander Nolan Sanburn picked up the victory. The club's No. 10 prospect threw three scoreless innings in relief, limiting the Blaze to one hit and one walk. He struck out three batters. Working exclusively out of the bullpen this season, Sanburn is 2-1 with a 3.18 ERA and a 42-to-17 strikeout-to-walk ratio in 39 2/3 innings.
