7/16/2014 | Contrite Wainwright explains Jeter comments
Adam Wainwright gave up three runs in the first inning of the National League's 5-3 loss, but his performance on the mound wasn't what the Cardinals' ace most regretted about the All-Star Game, it was his poor choice of words after the fact that suggested he took it easy on Derek Jeter during the Yankee legend's leadoff double.

Murphy, fresh off his first career All-Star appearance, will be a big part of that.

7/16/2014 | Perpetual All-Star Jeter never lost modesty
There are only a few players who are transcendent figures, even if they might be too modest to admit it.
