The New York Mets announced today that righthanded pitcher Matt Harvey will undergo surgery to correct a Thoracic Outlet Syndrome injury. The surgery will be performed in St. Louis by Dr. Robert Thompson. Harvey will miss the remainder of the 2016 season.
The New York Mets today announced that the club has placed RHP Matt Harvey on the 15-Day Disabled List, retroactive to yesterday, July 5, due to discomfort in his right shoulder. Harvey was seen by Mets doctors and has been referred to Dr. Robert Thompson in St. Louis for further examination. Harvey will be seen in St. Louis tomorrow.
