Barry Zito was overpowering -- striking out 11 Dodgers in seven innings -- and Eric Chavez's towering fifth-inning, two-run shot off the right-field foul pole helped the A's knock off the Dodgers in Oakland. Zito scattered eight hits and three runs while walking none to help the A's winning streak reach eight.
