Left-hander Dallas Braden allowed seven runs (four earned) over four innings and saw his record fall to 1-6 as the A's dropped the second game of their four-game series with Seattle. Nick Swisher accounted for the only Oakland run with a first-inning homer.

Adrian Beltre's three-run double came on the heels of a two-out A's error in the third inning and Jose Guillen capped a four-run fourth with a two-run homer to put an end to a seven-game losing streak. Felix Hernandez gave up one run over seven innings.
