Oakland's woes at Comerica Park continue. The A's staked starter Trevor Cahill to a five-run lead in the first inning, highlighted by Landon Powell's three-run double and a solo homer from Adam Kennedy. However, Cahill ran into trouble in the second as the A's dropped their third straight game at Comerica Park.
