Graduated from Stillwater HS (TX). Anderson was acquired along with pitchers Dana Eveland, Greg Smith, infielder Chris Carter and outfielders Aaron Cunningham and Carlos Gonzalez for pitcher Dan Haren on December 14, 2007.

Carter was acquired along with pitchers Brett Anderson, Dana Eveland, Greg Smith and outfielders Aaron Cunningham and Carlos Gonzalez for pitcher Dan Haren on December 14, 2007.

Acquired: First round (26th overall) pick of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft out of the University of California-Riverside.		 Biography:
First round selection in the First-Year Player Draft and was assigned to Double-A Midland where he had no decisions and a 3.94 ERA in 13 appearances, including two starts...allowed a .308 opponents batting average, including .262 (11 for 42) against left-handed hitters and .333 (25 for 75) against right-handers.
