A's are world champs
The A's won the 1974 Series in five games, with reliever Rollie Fingers capturing the MVP Award. Until 1974, only teams wearing Yankee pinstripes had won three World Series in a row. Now that honor belonged to the team in neon gold and green as well. Watch the game >
