On Friday, August 15, the A's will hold their third annual Dog Day at The Park at McAfee Coliseum, presented by AvoDerm & Nylabone. Fans are invited to bring their dogs to the park and help cheer on their home team as the A's host the Chicago White Sox at 7:05 p.m..

The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with a pre-game "Pup Rally" in in the North K parking lot where each Pup will receive a goodie bag containing an A's bandana, samples of dry dog food from AvoDerm and a dog treat courtesy of Nylabone. The rally will also feature games, raffle prizes and contests including a best dressed and best trick contest as well as a contest for the dog that looks most like its owner.

The A's will donate a portion of the proceeds to Dogs4Diabetics, a non-profit organization that trains medical-alert service dogs to detect hypoglycemia (low blood glucose) in diabetic youths and adults and alert their partner or other family member of the situation.

All dog owners must bring a copy of a current vaccination document from a licensed veterinarian. All dogs must wear an identification tag to the game and be accompanied by someone 18 years of age or older.
