On Friday, July 17, the A's will hold their fourth annual Dog Day At The Park at the Coliseum, presented by AvoDerm. Fans are invited to bring their dogs to the park and help cheer on their home team as the A's host the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim at 7:05 p.m. The fun begins at 5:30 p.m. with a pre-game "Pup Rally" in the North K parking lot. MUG Root Beer Float Day

The Oakland A's celebrate MUG Root Beer Float Day against the Texas Rangers. Meet your favorite celebrity scoopers as Oakland A's players and various Bay Area radio and television personalities serve MUG Root Beer Floats and compete for tips by signing autographs and posing for pictures. All proceeds benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. MUG Root Beer Float Day will take place from 10:35 a.m. - 12:35 p.m. in the Eastside Club.

Last year the Oakland Athletics raised over $30,000 for the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. MUG Root Beer Float Day is presented by Pepsi and Comcast. Ice Cream is donated by Dreyer's.

Give Kids a Smile Day

Join the American Dental Association and California Dental Association in support of the Oakland A's Give Kids a Smile. The California Dental Association has donated dental supplies to be handed out to children 15 and under who purchase group ticket of 25 or more. The A's Community Foundation will work with ticket donations to bring children in the Bay Area Community to the Coliseum for this dental health event. Give Kids a Smile works on a national level to give dental care to children in need.

Breast Cancer Awareness Day

The Oakland A's have teamed up in an effort to strike out breast cancer. Last year the Oakland Athletics raised $116,750 on A's Breast Cancer Awareness Day with proceeds benefiting the American Cancer Society and Northern California Cancer Center. Over the past 10 years, the Oakland A's Breast Cancer Awareness Day has raised over $1,000,000 for breast cancer education and research. Throughout the season, you can join the team in raising funds. The proceeds from commemorative caps and pins will benefit local Bay Area breast cancer charities.

Breast cancer survivors can participate in the on-field ceremony that is dedicated to hope and survival. Be a part of a team that is committed to overcoming breast cancer.
