Season Ticket Holder Newsletter - April 2012
The Mariners 35th Anniversary season is underway after historic opening games in Japan. There's excitement building for this team. Young stars like Dustin Ackley, Justin Smoak and newcomer Jesus Montero are bringing new energy to Safeco Field, and skipper Eric Wedge has big expectations for the ballclub. Listen to Eric and General Manager Jack Zduriencik speak about their plan for the new, improved 2012 Mariners.

We look forward to opening the gates of Safeco Field for the Home Opener next Friday, April 13. Make sure to be in your seats by 6:30 P.M.; you won't want to miss the pre-game festivities we have planned for you! It will be good to see and hear you in the ballpark!

This special Season Ticket Holder Newsletter will be coming to you each month. For more frequent updates of Mariners Baseball, be sure to check the Mariners Blog, From the Corner of Edgar & Dave.

Seattle Mariners in Japan
Japan Review The Mariners wrapped up a whirlwind tour of Japan on March 30, spending 10 days on the ground, visiting U.S. military bases, the tsunami and earthquake recovery area, sightseeing and squeezing in four games (two exhibition and two regular season).

The Tokyo Dome was rocking for the Mariners 3-1 extra innings win over the Oakland A's on March 28. Safeco Field was also hopping as 150 season ticket holders gathered at 3am PDT for a viewing party at the Terrace Club complete with two renditions of Take Me Out to the Ballgame for the 7th Inning Stretch. Food at Safeco Field
Ethan Stowell The Seattle Mariners hospitality partner, Centerplate, is once again collaborating with noted Seattle Chef Ethan Stowell to bring exciting, fresh and local food concepts to Safeco Field. New to the ballpark for 2012, Chef Stowell has created several new selections that include grass-fed BBQ brisket and pulled pork sandwiches, Italian sausage and bratwurst, an updated "anti-fast-food" burger and an Oyster Po' Boy, all using locally sourced ingredients.
